 In this tutorial I will show you how to create a banner with a metalic border like below:

 Step 1.
First make a new document with the size of your need. Mine is 500x100. 

Step 2.
Grab the pen tool and on a new layer make a shape like below and fill it gray.

To make it simetrical go to Layer > Duplicate and then go to Flip>Horizonal. Use the mouse to move the shapes untill they are simetrical.
